A humanoid is a being that has a casual resemblance to human beings, but are distinct enough that it is abundantly clear they are two separate species. A humanoid may possess the same general body shape as humans, or else be a hybrid where parts of their being resembles a human body whilst other parts resemble that of a beast. Unlike near-humans, humanoids tend to be distinct enough from humanity that they do not peacefully coexist, whether due to bigotry or sheer impracticality.
